Sodium monofluorophosphate is widely used, mainly used in toothpaste additives, concrete corrosion inhibitors, food, medical treatment and so on. Instead of sodium fluoride, SMFP is used as an anti-caries agent, tooth desensitizer in toothpaste formulations, also used to clean metal surfaces and used as a flux, and can also be used to make special glass
